The petition, signed by over 200 parents and friends of the school, was submitted to the governors in January with a covering letter requesting a meeting to discuss parent’s concerns. The petition and the request for a meeting were not acknowledged or responded to.
In March a parent governor did agree to meet with a small group of concerned parents, who expressed their personal views on the lack of a headship appointment and lack of communication from the governors.
As a result of this meeting a formal request shall now be made for an Open Public Meeting for all parents to express their views and concerns to the governing body. This meeting will hopefully take place in the first week of the summer term, 20-24th April. The date and arrangements for the meeting will be passed on as soon as a date has been confirmed.
